I am now on a mission to find out what her options are.  I really think that this year’s First Night Morris is going to be awesome, so I will focus my initial search to walking distance to the green.

I am walking into restaurants in Morristown and asking the following questions:

1. Are you open late on New Year’s Eve?
2. Do you have a special menu?
3. Do you have any open seats for reservations?

At this point they tell me yes, they do.  They then ask me how many are in my party.  This is where I pull out a card.

"I am writing a blog about Morris County, and I am reporting on who will be open and what menus they will have.  I am not looking for money for advertising."  I quickly add, as their radar kicks on, "I write about how businesses help charities, do you have any that I can talk about?"

So now, I get the thank you for the card, we will give it to the owner.  If anyone has an in at a local place, now would be a good time to give me a buzz.

Here is a preliminary report:

Provisi – Will be open late with a special menu.  The menu will be available next week. 

Aikou – Modern Asian Cuisine – Will be open late with regular menu.
