It has been one month since Jen Singer introduced me to the world of sharingVillage. Please take a moment to watch the video and visit their website. http://sharingVillage.org

Thank you,
Scott Farbman

The biggest cost / problem this charity has is transporting the kids to and from their facilities. Ronald McDonald House has stepped up and provided some help. Anyone have some creative ideas as to make this problem easier? We solve problems here with technology. I don’t think a YouTube horse ride will cut it. Please think it over and suggest something. In the meantime, please continue to help these grass roots charities financially. Thanks.

Herb outbid me. I will let him win. My wife has a landmark birthday next month. I bid on a gold pendant butterfly broach. I hope we win it. 15 minutes!

The cake is being served. A nice cup of coffee is right beside me. The band has settled down to slow songs. My new best friend Jen and I just had a nice chat. She is an awesome individual. I have not been outbid on my silent auction item. 23 minutes left. The folks in the home office are fixing my typos and offering moral support. This is a great event. I had imagined that I would be able to meet more folks. The music is loud and not conducive to interviews. Let me go see if I was outbid. Be right back.

A silent auction is fun. There is a whole wall of cool stuff that you can bid on. I would love to bid $1000 for a week at the Jersey Shore. I would also love to bid on two shares of a real race horse for $400. Maybe my wife and nine of her friends would like a day of skincare at Neiman Marcus at the Mall at Short Hills. It is only at $1025 right now.

I made a bid on a season pass to Talk Cinema in NYC. Wish me luck!

I never have met anyone here before tonight. The people here and I share a common bond. Almost all of us have had cancer affect ourselves or our immediate loved ones. For the first few hours of this gala, I have been soaking in their greatness. My little tweets and updates do not convey the warmness and caring of this community. They prepared a special meal for me to eat. They understand what it means to be fighting cancer. They have all lived through it. Thank you all.

We here at Blog Morris like to do what we can to get people involved in charities. It is for this reason that we offer this raffle for the Sharing Village, "a self-help/educational organization dedicated to the well-being of survivors of cancer, crohn’s disease, IBS and other life altering disorders from time of diagnosis and beyond".  So let’s get it going!

Whomever pledges the most to Sharing Village will receive a free month of our services.  We will create and execute the first phase of your social media campaign.  The money will go to a great cause and you will have many people in the area reading about you and/or your business, bringing you potentially new customers (because hey, who doesn’t want to support those who help others by giving them our business, right?).

So come on, NJ (and beyond!), let’s see how much of a difference we can make!  We are calling YOU to action! The smallest bit helps, the largest wins!

Comment on this post or email me at scott@blogmorris.com with your pledge!

She is introducing Jen, the best of NJ. Jen wrote about being a parent with cancer. Jen is on.

Salad! It sure looks good. The presentation is great. The drizzled balsamic on the plate. The salad is served in a hand made tortilla shell. I see craisins. A salad is not epic unless it has craisins!

The band is playing. The bar is open. People are enjoying tiny foods. My Internet is broken. I will keep going, even if I need to send smoke signals.
